NukitchensWe designed this kitchen using Plain & Fancy custom cabinetry with natural walnut and white pain finishes. The extra large island includes the sink and marble countertops. The matching marble backsplash features hidden spice shelves behind a mobile layer of solid marble. The cabinet style and molding details were selected to feel true to a traditional home in Greenwich, CT. In the adjacent living room, the built-in white cabinetry showcases matching walnut backs to tie in with the kitchen. The pantry encompasses space for a bar and small desk area. The light blue laundry room has a magnetized hanger for hang-drying clothes and a folding station. Downstairs, the bar kitchen is designed in blue Ultracraft cabinetry and creates a space for drinks and entertaining by the pool table. This was a full-house project that touched on all aspects of the ways the homeowners live in the space.

Lisette Voute DesignsWe were taking cues from french country style for the colours and feel of this house. Soft provincial blues with washed reds, and grey or worn wood tones. I love the big new mantelpiece we fitted, and the new french doors with the mullioned windows, keeping it classic but with a fresh twist by painting the woodwork blue. Photographer: Nick George
DesignlineThis room was redesigned to accommodate the latest in audio/visual technology. The exposed brick fireplace was clad with wood paneling, sconces were added and the hearth covered with marble.

Blueprint Dreams LLCWe built-in a reading alcove and enlarged the entry to match the reading alcove. We refaced the old brick fireplace with a German Smear treatment and replace an old wood stove with a new one.

Denyne DesignsThis transitional living room features built-ins surrounding a gas fireplace in front of which the spacious sofas provide an intimate seating area for conversation and games. The soft gray walls provide a neutral backdrop for vibrant pops of red and black used throughout from the one-of-a-kind artwork to the red and black books, throw pillows and blankets Continuing the color scheme the red and black area rug anchors the seating with the various finishes on the coffee table from tile to wood to wrought-iron legs finishing off this polished space.
