The open-plan ground floor was envisioned as the vibrant heart of the home, offering a generous, light-filled environment that opens onto the south-facing garden. A refined palette of jewel tones - teal, tan, and orange - was introduced through furnishings, injecting warmth and personality into the space. Bauhaus influences are subtly woven throughout, from the bold orange pendant lights above the kitchen island to the sculptural wall lights and curated artwork in the dining area, reinforcing a balance of function and visual impact. Rich walnut slatted timber defines the media wall, providing a tactile contrast to the green and cream built-in joinery. The German-made kitchen combines walnut and charcoal cabinetry with an antiqued mirror splashback, blending elegance with durability. The kitchen island serves as both a social hub and design feature, anchored by three tan leather stools and Bauhaus-inspired lighting that gives the space a strong visual identity.
