Vernon WentzThis is a wonderful lap pool that has a taste of modern with the clean lines and cement cabana that also has a flair of the rustic with wood beams and a hill country stone bench. Arbordale LandscapingOur client wanted to add a hot tub and new cabana to their poolscape. The cabana was designed with a bar in the front and pool equipment and storage in the back. The bar has a roll up door for winterising. A lounge area in front allows the home owners to enjoy a drink while watching the kids play in the pool. Flagstone patios, steps, and hot tub surround give this backyard a luxurious feel. The fence is built from custom milled Cedar horizontal boards. The fence is backed with black painted plywood for full privacy. A custom hot tub pit was built in order to use what is normally an above ground hot tub. The hot tub was supplied by Bonavista Pools. Composite lumber was used to build an access hatch for hot tub controls. Boxwood hedging frame the garden spaces. There are two Hydrangea Standard trees which are underplanted with begonias for a pop of colour. The existing Cedar hedge created a great backdrop and contrast for our Japanese Maple hedge. The existing Beech tree was stunning! Lawn area was necessary for the family pets.
Design Studio by RaymondWhile not overly large by way of swimming purposes, the Pool allows the comfort of sunbathing on its umbrella covered wet shelf that is removable when full sunlight is required to work away those winter whites. Illuminated water runs around a wooden deck that feels as if you are floating over the pool and a submerged spa area transports you to the back of a yacht in harbor at night time.
The linear fire pit provides warmth on those rarely found winter days in Naples, yet offers nightly ambiance to the adjacent Spa or Lanai area for a focal point when enjoying the use of it. 12” x 24” Shell Stone lines the pool and lanai deck to create a tranquil pallet that moves the eye across its plain feel and focuses on the glass waterline tile and light grey glass infused pebble finish.
LED Bubblers line the submerged gas heated Spa so as to create both a sound and visual barrier to enclose the resident of this relaxation space and allow them to disappear into the warmth of the water while enjoying the ambient noise of their affects.

Garden Artisans LLCOur client's childhood memories of summer fun in her parents' pool and family time on Long Beach Island, NJ is what she wanted to recreate for her own children in the comfort of their backyard. The client's wish list included a pool that was versatile for all ages and activities. We teamed up with Liquidscapes to assist with the pool design process to ensure functionality and quality was achieved. The saltwater pool has a swim lane, sun-shelf, deck jets, built-in seating and a raised spa with an 8' spillway!
The pool deck is built with limestone, which remains cool in the hot sun. A custom pavilion cantilevers the deep end of the pool serving as a shady poolside lounge. The wavy garden beds were designed to complement the freeform shape of the pool. The landscape consists of multi-layered magnolias, ilex, and cryptomeria to ensure privacy year round. Fagus, lagerstroemia, and cotinus add in-season privacy, color, and contrast. The large garden beds are filled with lush hydrangeas, perennials, perennial grasses, and ferns.
During our presentation for the front of the property, which is the final phase of this project, our client said to us: "Over the years we have dealt with many design and build companies and we're very happy we finally found one that is a pleasure to work with and cares about delivering high quality results.”
