Shaker style, two toned with cabinets, floating shelves and subway style backsplash give this kitchen conservative style.

This 1950's home was chopped up with the segmented rooms of the period. The front of the house had two living spaces, separated by a wall with a door opening, and the long-skinny hearth area was difficult to arrange. The kitchen had been remodeled at some point, but was still dated. The homeowners wanted more space, more light, and more MODERN. So we delivered. We knocked out the walls and added a beam to open up the three spaces. Luxury vinyl tile in a warm, matte black set the base for the space, with light grey walls and a mid-grey ceiling. The fireplace was totally revamped and clad in cut-face black stone. Cabinetry and built-ins in clear-coated maple add the mid-century vibe, as does the furnishings. And the geometric backsplash was the starting inspiration for everything. We'll let you just peruse the photos, with before photos at the end, to see just how dramatic the results were!

This is a renovation in an old 1910's villa. As this kitchen area had low ceiling we kept the kitchen units white, but added drama by painting the walls dark grey, and installing a black rubber floor. The yellow units and plywood floating shelves add interest too.

Our 63"drainboard workstation sink with built in ledge for cutting boards and other accessories. This large, double bowl sink with integral ledge can do double duty as a party prep and serving station. Double faucets allow two people to work at the sink together and keep one side of the sink usable if the other is occupied with accessories. Pictured with our stainless steel, foldable drying rack.

Contemporary and colorful; this client who moved from San Francisco requested a kick of color with the trim work and checkerboard vinyl flooring. The IKEA cabinets, custom butcherblock countertop, and specialty Fireclay Tile completed this unique transformation to perfection.
