Заказчики не были против изменения планировочного решения, и таким образом нам удалось добавить целых 2 помещения- гардеробную и кладовую, а также прихожую и кухню-гостиную мы сделали единым пространством. Основную сложность этого проекта составило органичное объединение пространства кухни-гостиной и прихожей, так как дверей там не предусматривалось и нужно было, чтобы стилевое решение из одного помещения плавно перетекало в другое, это усложнялось также г-образной планировкой, но благодаря удачной расстановке мебели, линейному освещению, выбранным декоративным элементам и цветовому решению это удалось отлично реализовать и воплотить в жизнь. Спокойная цветовая гамма этих помещений намекает нам на концепцию всей квартиры.

An open and airy kitchen remodel that invited the kitchen to be a part of the living space beyond its original enclosing walls. This spacious design features all new shaker style cabinets finished in the darker grey color, “Thunder”. Timeless and sturdy Quartz countertops, with a look that mimics carrara marble, were chosen, along with the porcelain 3x6 tile around the cabinetry, also mimicking carrara marble. The stylish cabinetry features two pull out cabinet inserts, one containing an elongated shelf for spices and such, the other with room for cooking utensils and a knife block, plus custom open shelving surrounding the window location. The sink was replaced, and relocated from under the window facing outside, to become the apron front, stainless steel sink, located inside the island between the living area and the kitchen, tying the two rooms together. In order to expand and open the kitchen, the two interior bearing walls were removed and replaced with a single flush mount beam, new posts and larger footings for weight support.

This ranch was a complete renovation! We took it down to the studs and redesigned the space for this young family. We opened up the main floor to create a large kitchen with two islands and seating for a crowd and a dining nook that looks out on the beautiful front yard. We created two seating areas, one for TV viewing and one for relaxing in front of the bar area. We added a new mudroom with lots of closed storage cabinets, a pantry with a sliding barn door and a powder room for guests. We raised the ceilings by a foot and added beams for definition of the spaces. We gave the whole home a unified feel using lots of white and grey throughout with pops of orange to keep it fun.

Painted solid ash has been used to give a more pronounced effect with the wood grain. The dark grey island gives an exceptional counterpoint to the much lighter grey of the main kitchen. Add to that, the white quartz with a gentle vein running through it which compliments the doors and you have a truly remarkable finish to a classical kitchen. Solid oak in the seating and shelving area softens the monochrome feel to the kitchen, bringing warmth and a touch of the rustic into the space. Splashes of colour have also been added to give that personal touch that every kitchen deserves. The stunning black range cooker has been framed nicely by glass dresser cabinets done in a Georgian frame style with help from a continuous shelf around the extractor hood to enable the cornice to connect the two dressers together. To finish off the refined look of this kitchen, a double farmhouse sink has been mounted under the worktop and grooves routed to the left. This striking space blends modern, classic and industrial touches to create an eclectic and homely feel. The cabinets are a mixture of flat and panelled doors in grey tones, whilst the mobile island is in contrasting graphite and oak. There is a lot of flexible storage in the space with a multitude of drawers replacing wall cabinets, and all areas are clearly separated in to zones- including a dedicated space for storing all food, fresh, frozen and ambient. The home owner was not afraid to take risks, and the overall look is contemporary but timeless with a touch of fun thrown in!
