This project included the complete refurbishment of the kitchen/dining room and downstairs cloakroom. A new kitchen was designed in collaboration with Kitchen Architecture. I complemented this with the design of a new lighting and colour scheme for the space and sourced new furniture including vintage bentwood chairs, bespoke upholstered dining chairs, soft furnishings, accessories, window treatments and flooring. The kitchen project was shortlisted for the International Design and Architecture Awards 2020.

The countertop material mimics the motion of the waves on the sandy shores, the plaster hood celebrates the feel of sand and earth, The greens and texture bring the surrounding nature inward. A large open kitchen pantry with storage and countertop space that wraps around on three walls with lots of countertop space for small kitchen appliances. Both sides of the pantry are large roll-out drawers for ease of getting to all of the contents. Above the counters are open adjustable shelving. On the floor is the continuation of the wood looking porcelain tile that flows throughout most of the home.
