Harbor Ave Live-Work
The design started with the footprint of the existing building extended to four additional stories. Simple, clean materials with minimal maintenance requirements were important inside and out. The owner envisioned a Northwest home that used extensive glass and natural light, focused on the building’s busy waterfront and the commercial neighborhood. Interiors of bamboo flooring, light quarter-sawn oak cabinetry and doors, grass cloth, simple modern tile, trim, and fixtures reflect the clean, contemporary lighting.
