Greenwood Village Mansard Makeover
As part of a whole house remodel of a 1978 French Country suburban home, the unfinished basement was fitted out with a rec room, kids playroom (beyond the stair), two guest rooms, a bathroom, laundry room, mechanical room and mudroom. The old basement stair was enclosed with walls on each side and had a tall rise and short run. The old stairs were removed, and a new, gentle set installed with rail and balusters to match those upstairs. Cabinetry in kids playroom was repurposed from old laundry room and painted.
