In this project we aimed to create a stylish garden which was both family friendly and low maintenance. Eco decking was used to create a large contemporary decking area. This composite product is slip resistant and is created using 95% recycled materials so is very eco friendly . This product is extremely low maintenance and long lasting. Rendered flower beds were built and complement the sleek and simple lines of the garden. A simplistic planting scheme has been utilised to add colour. A high quality artificial lawn was laid. This product is a great alternative for those looking for a lawn which will look lush all year round and will with stand children and animals playing on it. The slatted fence runs around the perimeter and adds warmth and texture to the space. Overall this garden is simple yet very slick.

This rooftop garden, located in Brooklyn’s Park Slope, received a total design makeover, turning it from a barren space into a lush garden oasis. Our re-design included low-maintenance composite decking (rated for fire safety), a custom-built pergola, outdoor kitchen, and gorgeous, multi-level plantings. The style of the plantings is somewhere between an English garden and the Highline, giving an informal and slightly wild feeling to the space. Plantings include hydrangeas, ornamental grasses, evergreen arborvitaes and inkberry hollies, catmint, and creeping Jenny. All of the planters are irrigated using drip irrigation lines and illuminated at night via low-voltage landscape lighting. See more of our projects at www.amberfreda.com.

Entertaining and enjoying the views were a primary design goal for this project. The project includes a large camaru deck with built-in seating and contemporary planters filled with succulents, grasses and phormium, new zealand flax. The concrete steps and pavers lead down to the water's edge. I included a sunken patio on one side and a beautiful Buddha statue on the other, surrounded by succulents and other low-water, contemporary plantings. With amazing city views, its hard not to want to spend all your time living outside. With this design, you can. In one corner you have planters packed with seasonal vegetables that can be picked, rinsed and served, all within about 10 footsteps. Want some protein with that? No problem. The outdoor kitchen is set to feed a crowd, all while engaging friends over the bar, and into the dining area. Here, with built-in retractable pergola canopies, you can control your environment to whatever shade, sun, or night sky setting you desire. And then, when you can eat no more, kick-back and relax in the comfy, heated lounge seating area.
