SCJ Studio Landscape Architecture
A Seattle couple needed to take advantage of our amazing summer weather and asked for a way to watch movies outside. We were up to the challenge, designing a custom concrete bench that by day serves as built-in seating and transforms at night into a perfect spot to catch a flick on the fly! Other touches include modern planting and steel planters to match the contemporary feel of the home.

Specific attention was made to the experience one has while entering this home. With a series of concrete pads at different elevations, the final grade is met and the variety strongly encourages a slower pace, focusing on the journey.
California Waterscapes
Our team came up with the design and incorporated the “yin yang” symbol, with half of it being the pond, the other half synthetic turf so no extra water was needed to water a lawn. All the plants used in landscaping were also drought tolerant turning this oasis into drought tolerant masterpiece!
Regenesis Ecological Design
A traditional cedar picket fence surrounds a deer-resistant garden with Heuchera micrantha (Coral Bells), Coreopsis (tickseed), Symphoracarpus albus (Snowberry), Euphorbia (spurge), and Acer palmatum 'Moonfire' (Japanese Maple).
LAND BY DESIGN
A mix of black eyed susans, yucca, and ornamental grasses form the basis to this gorgeous and exuberant mass planting full of texture and color in the front yard landscape architecture garden design of this Kansas City home.
