The rooftop deck at this Canada property offers a large outdoor area for eating, sitting and sunbathing on loungers atop our SYNLawn artificial grass. With very little maintenance needed, our turf will help keep this rooftop looking pristine.

In the backyard, our clients wanted to create a space for entertaining, hanging out with their grandchildren, and growing their own vegetables. The yard was replaced with a flagstone patio including a large raised bed. We also hid the air conditioning unit to create a convivial and functional area.
Aralia: Innovation in Landscape Design
This late 19th century property in Knightsbridge London was selected by one of the leading luxury international property developers, to renovate into luxury apartments with an adjoining roof terrace to the rear. Aralia were appointed, together with a multidisciplinary team of architects, engineers and interior designers to overcome the sites constraints and create a beautiful and very high quality roof terrace London garden. In the short term, the roof terrace served to attract buyers by reflecting the high level of quality associated with this particular developer as well as innovative design solutions to combat a very difficult site, whilst in the long term having to provide a series of very elegant and contemporary garden spaces.
Typical of many small London terrace gardens, this garden came with many constraints, particularly relating to privacy. The terrace was sandwiched between two terrace rows and therefore was significantly overlooked by the adjacent neighbouring property, together with apartments on upper floors. The design of this space had to carefully consider how privacy could be achieved without limiting the existing light levels which, due to its aspect, were far from ideal. Another constraint was the fact that the terrace was on a podium above the basement level and therefore weight limitations and any build up requirements were very restricted, and therefore had to be carefully coordinated with the project engineer.

Contemporary take on a typical narrow rectangular new built townhouse garden. Curved Corten steel border works as focal feature with a floating curved bench. Mediterranean plant pallet gives this garden a warmer feel. Paved center gives this family with kids plenty o room to run and play.

Frost-proof containers are a must in Colorado. The initial investment might give you pause, but when you think about how easily plastic pots break, it's worth getting pots that can be used year round. Large pots can be anchored with a tall perennial flower or even small shrub, and filled-in with annuals for more color. Draping vines like sweet potato ('Marguerite' in chartreuse green!) provide contrasting color and texture against a jewel-tone container.

A contemporary family garden was created by dividing the rear garden into an adult area with the help of fun curved rendered walls pained in a cool grey.
The walls have 'cut out window' to allow the view of the planting behind but to hide the generally unsightly 'compulsory' trampoline in todays family gardens.
The planting is lush and volouptus in contrast to the strikt lines of the concrete walls and bespoke steel planters, boundary fences was painted charcoal black to make them 'disappear' and to show off the greenery better.
The sunken basement garden is decked in hardwood decking and the walls cladd with natural stone pebbles, in perfect harmony with the garden sculptures. A stainless steel waterwall with colour changing LED lighting brightens this otherwise dull dark area. Designed and built by GreenlinesDesign Ltd / Maria Örnberg
