Gallagher, Church Crookham, Hampshire, Kitchen & Interiors Project

A peninsular unit worked best within the layout and gave the Gallagher’s a more spacious work/cooking area and allowed for dining space for three people, plus additional storage. Jacob extended the wood effect side panels up the wall to create some useful shelving for hi-fi and a warm feel to that end of the kitchen. The peninsular unit is topped by a soft toned, flecked and slightly reflective quartz stone work top. The other worktops throughout the kitchen are Rotpunkt’s wood effect Zerox SY Bardolia, which have also been used to create a splash-back. “A lot of our visitors think we have had an extension, they just can’t believe how light and spacious it is,” commented Andrea Gallagher. “Beau-Port has transformed the space that was already there. The area is so much more useable in so many ways - for relaxing, dining and cooking. We now have a formal dining area and then more casual eating area at the breakfast bar, which we use a lot of the time. It has become such a sociable space where we can cook, entertain and relax in.”
