Eclectic Estate
Originally a corporate retreat house and now in private hands, this very interesting house in Pennington (near Princeton) on twenty acres epitomizes living with natural materials in the true Arts & Crafts style. The geometry of the house and the need for a new entrance to unite several wings in a more direct manner and to clearly identify the front door (original moved to new addition). We designed an entry that appears regular from the front approach but which is seven-sided and irregular to the interior, which was all done in stained and varnished Spanish cedar.
