Custom Window Treatments
Pasadena Showcase 2011 bedroom "artist's alcove" featured drapery panels hung from vintage tie-back holders positioned to follow the curve of the arched opening. Silky white fabric panels, banded at the hem with strips of green silk fabric detail, are held back with custom designed feather tie-backs. Room was based on a woodland theme so the feathers were in reference to birds and Scalamandre "Aviary" fabric used elsewhere. The balloon shades at window are finished at the hem with an unusual trim - the fabric was cut into a saw-tooth pattern with edges deliberately left raw for texture and animation.
