Custom Home - North Shore, MA Contemporary
This kitchen is part of a custom contemporary home we built in 2012. The homeowners yearned for a modernist home with natural light and views of their natural surroundings, that drew on the architecture of their native Latvia. They wanted to combine raw industrial elements used in urban lofts and institutional buildings with a northern European design sensibility. The result is a light and airy kitchen with clean & simple lines that is open to the rest of the first floor living space. Large windows and a sliding door to an attached screen porch offer lots of natural light and views. Key features include custom natural maple cabinetry that are a frameless style with flush doors & drawers to maintain the clean lines of the space; a Wolf range with custom cut tempered glass backsplash; Red Malibu granite countertops with a brushed finish, and natural maple flooring with a satin urethane finish.
