Catherine's 1960s total refurb
Catherine contacted me shortly after getting the keys to her new 2 bed flat. She needed help with her complete refurb, ripping plaster off walls, plumbing and electrics etc. Its a 60s property so no problem with space and light but with such a blank canvas Catherine had difficulty imagining how she could make the best of it. Enter me!
Catherine loves mid century modern. She also likes metals and dark blue, a great combo to start. So after a bit of experimenting, we started with a big dark blue sofa and built the scheme up around that. The final scheme included dark blue and white/gold geometric wallpaper, dark mid century style furniture with accents of tan, gold and pink. The two wallpapers are at either end of the room, so kept apart with a bit of white space, but link together with the accessories and colour. There's also a nod to the 60s with shots of bold yellow!
