Revival by DesignWhen we were asked by our clients to help fully overhaul this grade II listed property. We knew we needed to consider the spaces for modern day living and make it as open and light and airy as possible. There were a few specifics from our client, but on the whole we were left to the design the main brief being modern country with colour and pattern. There were some challenges along the way as the house is octagonal in shape and some rooms, especially the principal ensuite were quite a challenge.

Astro Design CentreThe design was inspired by natural elements, the classical architecture of the home and the magnificent view out the large window to the treed backyard. Scale and proportion were key elements in the design that are showcased in the floor to ceiling wall tile in the shower, over-sized mirror, luxurious double vanity and large-format cement grey floor tiles. Upon entering, the space feels simultaneously peaceful yet powerful, serene yet bold, classic yet edgy.
All the finishes selected are hand-polished, richly plated and timeless. Everything about this space is elevated and luxurious. In its design we created a sensual experience, a sanctuary, a place to feel pampered. It is like a visit to a fine hotel- in classic style.
JTID Inc.Two small spaces were combined to create one substantial children’s bathroom. Per the client’s request, two wall-mounted sinks were preferred over a traditional vanity setup. A large marble bench and side cabinet provide plenty of storage. The floating tub was integrated within the shower to create a dedicated wet area. Ann Sacks porcelain tile and custom New Ravenna “fish” glass mosaic.
Humble Haven HomesModern / Transitional bath remodel. Took an old and tired beige bathroom and turned into a light and clean lined bathroom. Custom designed vanity helps the space feel bigger while utilizing every square inch for storage in this early sixties home.
Rolf Schroeder General Contractors, Inc.The sons inspiration he presented us what industrial factory. We sourced tile which resembled the look of an old brick factory which had been painted and the paint has begun to crackle and chip away from years of use. A custom industrial vanity was build on site with steel pipe and reclaimed rough sawn hemlock to look like an old work bench. We took old chain hooks and created a towel and robe hook board to keep the hardware accessories in continuity with the bathroom theme. We also chose Brizo's industrial inspired faucets because of the wheels, gears, and pivot points.
Miyuki Yamaguchi Design StudioThe concrete looking hex tiles on the floor and the wainscoting with simple white rectangular tiles in stack bond pattern present just enough interest to the bathroom. The integrated concrete sink with chunky wood shelves below are a perfect vanity unit to complete this farmhouse theme bathroom.
