Kitchen Screen : Naturally hand weathered perforated sliding screen with decorative brass fixtures and over sized handle, attached to matt black framework. A fairly lengthy process due to the natural weathering of the steel. The panels were checked every few days to ensure the steel was weathering nicely. Once they reached the point whereby we were happy with the rusted patina, panels were lightly sanded in certain places to bring some areas back to the muted tones of raw mild steel. Panels were then clear powder coated and attached with decorative fixtures to the matt black framework. Every aspect was carefully considered . We needed to ensure holes sizes were suitable for young children. Placement of the panels on framework was also taken into consideration to ensure no sharp edges. Panels were attached to barn door sliding fixtures.
