AJR GreenspaceA compact garden in Portobello transformed after the construction of a new dining extension. The floating concrete bench provides the main focal point whilst a hidden set of corten steps leads up to an elevated seating area, the perfect spot to sip a G&T in the evening sun hanging in a hammock from the pergola. The reclaimed brick patio and lush green shade planting soften the industrial structures whilst a Siberian larch screen conceals a useful storage area at the end.

Conbu Interior DesignOutdoor space designed by Conbu Interior Design. Dark grey walls allow the planting to pop. Siberian larch panel soften the look. Raised flower beds have been incorporated to ensure plants are easily accessible. Planters have also been included but its the plants which really shine. An awning provides some shade during warmer summer days. An outdoor heater has also been included for cooler nights. Bright red garden furniture provide a pop of colour. Low maintenance granite and artificial grass ensure there is no need for a lawn mower. The entire garden is low maintenance and easily accessible.

GO Designs Inc.The Contemporary Retreat....This backyard retreat was designed with therapy in mind. Dancing water for tranquility. Walk-in spa & just the right size pool to cool off or work out. Plenty of places to relax & lounge in side the pool & spa or catching rays, sun bathing. The pool view from inside adds another element that can be used all year long. An automatic pool cover makes this space easy for maintenance & adds another barrier for safety. The green lawn accents softens every turn and allows for each space to be its own destination. Outdoor dining at the outdoor kitchen is made easy with a bar side & seating for four, however plenty of space in this plan to add tables & chairs to sit and relax anywhere. The landscape designed on purpose with layers of evergreen & deciduous plantings to ensure a good look during any season. As the plants mature they will create a barrier of oneness that surrounds our clients energy, of course. A raised garden bed creates a wind block for an additional destination space the was designed for a firepit or more lounge seating. Retreat or Entertainment mecca....

Landscapes by Tom LLCLake home has easy access to the dock and lake. Paver patio is under the upper deck, a raised bed disguises the sell, and a set of steps and landings in the side yard provide easy walking access all around the property. There's even a paver walkway that connects the paver patio to both sets of granite steps at the lake.
Twisted Rock Terrascape & Design, Inc.This was the last house on the block to get landscaped and had absolutely no access. We had to hire a crane to both bring in machines and pallets of materials as well as bring back out our machines on the final day. Crazy but worked perfectly!!! Natural Rundle rock retaining walls and steps along with concrete edging and landscape lighting with some well thought out plantings made this a truly fun job that was quite unique!
Nordland LandscapesThis garden was overgrown and not used at all by the property owners. The homeowners wanted a contemporary courtyard that was family friendly and modern.
To achieve this, materials were chosen to match the stylish interior of the house. Also by using lighter coloured material we were able to brighten up the garden. The printed porcelain paving gave a contemporary modern feel whilst introducing added interest. Cedar batten fencing was used to clad the boundaries to minimise the oppressive feel of the high boundaries and to introduce more light into the garden.
The cedar timber floating bench now provides a place to sit and entertain. It is also the perfect height for the clients’ children to use as a play bench.
To brighten up the dull and dark corner by the french doors, the original steps were clad in beautiful blue and grey encaustic tiles to add much needed colour and interest in an area that had been previously neglected.
This contemporary courtyard is now bright and welcoming and used by the property owners and their children on a daily basis.
