Than you so much, Suzanne Hunt :) I will contact Sunlite soon. Hopefully they will be interested, since I live in Mandurah, a bit far from them. I really like your Swanbourne House Pergola. I want two pergolas facing the sea. I am still not sure if I should use steel or wood. :(

Whichever you choose you need to make sure that you get the best people to construct it in our windy hot climate. I would probably go steel but it depends on how close to the ocean. I would speak to a local structural engineer or try Steve Collins from Eclipse Builders in Mandurah. Good Luck

PS SHA designed a similar pergola to the Swanbourne House at Leeuwin Estate Winery deck if you are down there tasting their delicious tipple :)

Much, much appreciated! I will make time to contact these people. Our two story house is no more than 200 metres from the beach toward Africa. After two years of living in this house, I have had now so many ideas for renovation, especially the balcony and the garden facing the sea. Winter wind can be very strong, which is the challenge. But I don't know where to seek help, since we only know our Builder, and disappointed with some of their work and slow or no response:(
