The living room is dominated by arched ingresses, pared-back accents and a palette of teak wood and white. By the window, a recess-turned-bookshelf above a cushioned ledge presents a cosy reading nook.
“The couple works from home and wanted this room to serve as an office by day and a relaxing den by night. The reading nook is a nod to the homeowners’ shared love of books,” says Chaudhari.

Next to the living area is the dining area, where a lime stucco wall stands as a mellow offset to the deep tones of the teak-wood table and chairs.
Woven cane detailing, in the way of the backrests and cupboard doors, injects measured pops of pattern into the monotone periphery.
