all texture off ceilings
walls to a grey... maybe DE382 "Faded Grey" ... I need to pull the dunn edwards i have on my walls and see if its a fit for you. It doesn't have blue undertones even though its a grey- its pretty.
all cabinets & wood trim to a white - maybe DEW380 (maybe not though? could be too cool but I'll know when we try it on a cabinet door and see how it works)
keep your granite kitchen counters
wood wall to wall on your main floor- including kitchen/pantry- I'd focus on that floor and get it dialed before doing anything else. 2nd would be powder room since thats where guests go. Take out the sink and cabinet and put in a nice more modern farmhouse style white and maybe chrome pedestal sink. You don't need storage there to need an under sink cabinet.
baseboard- add to it or swap it for a 5-6" piecereplace all of your frames OR spray all of your non black picture frames black
kitchen cabinets- you can make stock cabinets look custom by using trim pieces above to bring them higher up the wall.

THIS.... wide plank, pine... omg gorgeous...
I wouldn't do this exact rug but you get the idea.
rug option for the front room? we're looking for a more plush look to soften....
these could be fun for your front room - i didn't check dimensions though but they're cute and still masculine
you need a big piece to anchor the sitting room when you enter your home... it would be on the wall that backs to the kitchen. remember to not necessarily buy pieces that are small in stature to fit a smaller space- you want to create layers of homey and warmth and that comes from material & design elements like this one. The sofa out there works - it needs two side chairs - you could go fun and oversize with them and then get a big furry throw to help soften
If you want to stay for a while- I'd delete the wall that separates the kitchen and living room and put the fridge on the backyard wall - really embrace the open concept.
