Hang tight everyone, we are about to see them very soon. Susanfromiowa, we have sold Aurea's slabs for a couple of years with no issues at all. And yes, the edge profile can make a difference. If someone has gone with an "eased" or "squared" edge and it didn't have enough radius to the top and bottom edge, it can be too sharp and more prone to chipping and that can happen with any stone, quartz or otherwise. When you shop quartz, most quartz companies will recommend particular edge profiles that are a little more forgiving in a well used kitchen. Now, yes, Aurea Stone is not currently shipping into the US, BUT, we have received word that they should be back in the coming months. Exact date - not known just yet but we should know very soon and we are very excited to have them back again!
