i like the family room color they went with
mini cabinets on top to extend all the way to ceiling
dark blue islands; white and subway tile blend and open up the space. good lighting too
walls with different colors; could make the fridge wall dark

keep fully green wall of cabinets, change island cabinet color to dark chocolate
