Again, cool lighting very important for the deck vibe.

The previous two were really thick with the ivy. I don't think I need that much ivy, and something more sparse could be fine...this would be a good example.

Another version, same idea.

Because precious floor space is such an issue, the other way we could go would be ivy. We could put planter boxes on the top of the fence railing, and have ivy come down to the balcony floor.

I picked this one not for the tall trees, but rather for the squares of greenery in-between. Bonus, we could put canister lights in between for effect.

The fence railing is 3' 6" high. So this is a smilar idea, we could build a planter 1-1/2 high and go the entire length of the balcony and go with taller greenery for privacy. Probably not too much space left for electrical/lighting though.

We could build a planter box that is 18' long by 1' deep. Maybe we make it 3' high It would block viewing from the railing for privacy, and we could plant short bushes for decor. Bonus, we could build lighting fixtures into the box and obscure all the wiring inside!
Another lighting idea.
