I think the coat closet will probably be used up for other purposes, but if there is any left over space, I do like under stair storage.

If the cooktop can go on the brick wall, I like the idea of cabinets and counters on either side. I don't know if we could get a plumbing for a pot filler on the brick wall???

I love pocket doors and barn doors. Maybe a pocket or barn door can go between the mudroom and the family room
