Like the openess to the outdoor.

Like the darker counter color against the white. Fixtures are okay. Love the brightness of all the windows. Like the wood floors.

Like the large island. Like the wood, though a slightly darker shade of the wood is preferable. I don't like the white backsplash because it makes the room TOOO white. And I'd prefer to have some glass doors mixed in this room to break it up. But otherwise, it's nice and clean. (I also do NOT like the light fixtures.)

I like the backsplash. Don't mind a different counter top for the island, but not sure I want an entirely different cabinet color...unless myabe it was brown. And I hate the vent above the stove in this island. It's such an eye sore.

If we had to put the cooktop on the island, this air vent seems kind of slick and not too bulky. Not sure how well it works though.
