I like this, though would probably err towards a tiled roof with skylights, rather than an all-glass roof.

Q

Photo

If we have to have a pitched roof, this one works quite well. Helped by the use of matching bricks to integrate into the rest of the look.

Q

Photo

Don't really like the separate nature of the two extensions, highlighted by a different pitch and different length. Prefer a more streamlined look.

The thick grey surround feels a bit 'box-y' - especially at the top. But otherwise I think the contrast between modern and old works, and I like the simplicity. The sliding doors are great too.

Q

Photo

Too much glass. Would prefer a tiled roof.

Q

Photo

Really like this. Sleek lines, flat roof (not sure that will be possible for us?), lot of glass windows/doors.

Q

Photo

I like the white extension and simple lines.

Q

Photo

I like the simple lines of this extension. Even though the material is clearly different to the original house it doesn't dominate.

Q

Photo

I love the fact this extension looks natural - like it was part of the original design.

Q

Photo

Don't like the contrasts here of old brick and new timber, and different lines of the house. It doesn't seem to fit.

Q

Photo

I like the airy-ness of this extension but DON'T like the black-framed glass panels.

Q

Photo

Like the 'airy-ness' of this style. Quite like the sliding doors too.

Q

Photo

Love the fact that this is beautifully integrated into the style of the house, looking very natural.

Q

Photo

Whilst this does have a mid-way pillar, it isn't as thick and as obtrusive as the earlier photo. Simple lines are good. Also, the steps down are probably going to be necessary. Not sure if I would put them straight outside the door or have a raised patio that then has steps down.

Q

Photo

Feels a bit too 'box-y'. The grey material surrounding the 'box' is too thick and makes it jarr with the rest of the house

Q

Photo

Would prefer not to have the pillar in the middle, if possible.

Q

Photo

Really like the simplicity of this. The box style matches with the rest of the block, so doesn't look out of place. Also love the large sliding glass doors.

I like the sleekness of this, and the fact it blends with the rest of the house using the same coloured bricks.

I love the idea of some kind of permanent sheltered BBQ area outside

Q

Photo

I love the roof windows /skylights to help bring more light in. I do worry about cleaning them though...

Q

Photo

I love the use of glass /windows to create a very bright area.

Q

Photo

I like the sleekness of this extension, and the fact it blends with the house (though we wouldn't have a 2-tiered back extension). Sliding doors could be a good option.

Q

Photo

I love the modern interior, the wood burning stove, and the light, bright airy feel

Q

Photo
Photo

I like the sleek bi-fold doors (though sliding doors could achieve a similar look). Very airy and bright.

Q

Photo

Where to start here... I love the fact the back wall is all glass, open plan and very airy. I love the outdoor cover for the tables and the fact there is a built in BBQ area (the cover could be better used though to cover the BBQ).

Q

Photo

Really like the built-in dining seat area

Q

Photo

I like the simple lines of this extension. And even though it doesn't use the same materials (slate instead of brick) as the rest of the house, it looks classy. We too may need some steps running down from the patio.

I like that this is bright and airy, helped by the skylight. I would probably err towards more glass (maybe there is, outside the photo....)

Q

Photo

I love the modern look of this extension. We expect to have a fairly modern landscaped garden, so a modern extension would work. Love all the glass too (though worry about cleaning it!)

Q

Photo

Love how the kitchen flows into the dining area which flows into the garden. Bright and airy.

I like the roof glass, but perhaps too much glass?

Q

Photo

Not a huge fan of a pitched glass roof (reminds me of a dated conservatory). But I like the idea of glass in the roof for extra light, and a large opening onto the garden.

Q

Photo

Really like this skylight. Large and simple.

Q

Photo

This back feels a bit cluttered to me. Too many lines with the bi fold doors.

Really want a wine fridge somewhere :-)

Really like this corner sofa

Q

Great use of this space for a dining area

Q

Photo

Love the bright, airy extension. Big, wide entrance to the garden.

Q

Photo

I think this is too much glass on the ceiling. Rather than a pitched roof I would prefer a sloped roof, partly tiled (or other materials) and partly glass).

Q

Photo

Don't like the pitch on the back extension - especially that it is a dual pitch. Would prefer a slope from the building wall down, if possible.
