Hidden Rooms
The fireplace is corner of the small back yard, using more colorful tile and soft curves. The mantel is Cantera stone and the tile is a Talavera painted tile.
The natural form of the stone pot, with succulents sets an interesting table.
The talavera pot is the focal point from the kitchen with its many vibrant colors providing year round color. The eclectic form of the Lady Slipper provides additional drama.
Soft foliage and wonderful texture were added to soften the walkway. The easy flowing curve, brings a guest from the dining patio to the fireplace.

'Bathrooms are a popular room to hide. I get it; you don't like to share your loo. (Can't say I blame you.) An ornate mural like this one is a great way to camouflage the entrance from snooping guests.'
'What kid wouldn’t love this pint-size playroom with its small, child-friendly door? And the parents certainly appreciate being able to hide toys out of sight. Although you probably would want to show off that snazzy red and white striped Bruder cement truck.'

'Sneaky! The space under the stairs is prime real estate for a hideaway.' I think what makes this extra special is that you're entering the under-stair area from the back rather than the side. In addition, the door goes all the way to the top instead of just to the top of the doorway. It appears to have an extra layer attached that fits snugly into the doorway, which I'm sure provides good sound insulation. This is one of my all-time favorite under-the-stairs projects.
