we keep playing with the idea of walls on either side of the range but are balancing cooking in a hole and closing off the range wall with the safety hazard of having hot items near the major path of travel with the hall/bonus room and kids/grandkids/nephews

this range wall has depth and takes up space. I am concerned the range wall at Colton will look like a flat, one-dimensional island stuck at the end of the kitchen

I like the intentionality of this 'hutch'. even the same color it has purpose, not just a cabinet shoved in the corner to put glasses in

different styles of cabinet fronts, flat front next to range, shaker in island (also next to a flat, but would prob stick to one per section of kitchen). so that in the end, the look is a bit more eclectic than precious

Jeff will be cool with anything if there is a hidden passageway. what if the two sliders on either side of the backsplash were the rich wood tone? we don't need the hood to span the range wall but are willing to play with depth and dimension next to the range hood
