I do think that will all the variation/range in quartz, can go in many directions and look lovely. Impossible to get color accurate photos, we have tons of natural light. Less contrast irl and everything ties together beautifully.

We went with mindful gray for the upper cabinets and our base cabinets are a dark Silas gray stain that have a weathered look. The minuet counter tops are so beautiful. We used a soft gray subway tile for the backsplash.

Reply to: Well, I went with Warm Gray Grout and I cannot say I am thrilled with it. It can look pinkish sometimes under the LED lighting. :( I went with an in-between dark and white color and probably should have gone with my initial gut and gone with White or maybe even a touch darker? Who knows, maybe after a while I won't notice it any longer? I did take The Kitchen Abode's advice and I did NOT add sealer to the grout, so that I can "wash" it with paint if I want to, but I am terrified I might a bigger mess! Hey, Kitchen Abode...any advice on how to "wash" grout with paint? :) I also bought several grout refreshers in darker colors (Pewter, Charcoal & Oyster Gray) with the thought of staining the grout, but "washing" sounds less drastic. I do have 5 sample tile boards that I can experiment with first, but some of the samples have unsanded grout in them and I don't think I would have the same results with my sanded grout.

Reply to: Hi all, I just wanted to provide an update with some pictures of our Rococo. It was finally installed and we LOVE it. It is one of the best decisions we made for the kitchen remodel. We still have some work to do, so please ignore the lack of a panel on the dishwasher and the lack of toe kicks! I just couldn't wait to share some pics of the countertop!

Reply to: @Diane and others...have had Verona for about two years now, still looks great, is not super glossy, so you do see smudge marks from certain angles but I think it wears well, you just can't ever seem to get it to sparkle after cleaning-but I love it regardless. I have had one or two chips on the edge from a glass bottle hitting or a pan, so they're not indestructible...no issues with hot temp items setting on it. Here are a few pics from when they first went in, and pics from recently...I went with a brighter white option because I wanted the cabinets to look crisp and not creamy, so not a custom white (alright everything else was custom BM, love that paint). We did end up with a random dark mark like others have mentioned, but it's small And not bothersome, after a remodel you learn to deal with the imperfections (as a very picky person with an annoying eye for detail, I've learned you can only control so much). Honestly, I think what matters most is your fabricator...who cuts the templates. I had a very specific look and he let me lay the templates on the slabs exactly where I wanted them, it would have been a nightmare with a poor or lazy fabricator...so do you research on who actually does the cutting and install! Hope this helps!

Reply to: You want it to look like this?? nope. either do one or the other. save you left over quartz piece for a cheese tray or shelf. this one looks better, but it's a differently designed kitchen than what you have (and notice how they DID do the entire wall) I would definitely do that entire wall w/tile. otherwise, it's going to look really boring half way up w/plain old white subway. similar wall like you have. They did the entire wall w/tile. and why only white subway? all the great tile out there?? you really should wait until the countertop is in and try out some samples. these all come in diff colors and sizes. We actually just went with the stock white through the semi-custom cabinet manufacturer, there was a warm white (too creamy) and ice type white, I wanted it crisp and didn't have a need for a custom white because the ice white sample looked good with all of our other swatches. The wall color is BM Pale Oak, with bright white trim, which helps the cabinets pop. I do think a custom paint job can provide a yummier texture and finish, just something I've thought about after the fact because we have a custom vanity in our master that seems smoother, but it's a rich blue gray which might be why it feels more luxurious? With white kitchen cabinets and two hound dogs...I'm sure the cabinets will need to be repainted at some point anyway LOL, so we'll see if a custom white feels any different.

Reply to: Oxford white is perfect with the 5131 Calacatta Nuvo...our reno is a long story but we had this combination in our new kitchen, for a short period of time and I loved it. I first saw this combo in a friends home which was beautiful. Our kitchen was ruined before we were able to use it due to a flood. Our new kitchen after the flood is still Oxford white but the counters are now quartzite. I do like Simply white...have it in my bedroom but just preferred Oxford for my kitchen.
