I really like these large, open shelves. From Alicia: What I would suggest is that we 1) build a cabinet pantry in the utility room (off the garage) like this for extra storage; and 2) build the suggested appliance storage/pantry in the kitchen itself, which will have room for toaster, coffee maker, etc. but also shelving for pantry type things.
