Kitchen
That said, I've been dreading the idea of organizing my kitchen idea book. Since I care SO MUCH that this room turns out well, and because I love so many different styles, I know I'll have a harder time landing on the 'perfect' solution for this room than anywhere else.
Then, an idea struck me. Instead of figuring it all out, I'll just post lists of things that I DO and DO NOT know. So, you'll see a few things that are firm, some that are totally up in the air, and a combination of the two.
A million bonus points to the professionals that will help me narrow this down to make a space that is truly my own.
Layout
u-shape with island and peninsula
Second favorite layout
Thinks I need to cover: - Top backlit shelves for display - Cabinet style (simple) and pulls; mostly closed cabinets - Cabinet colors - Under-cabinet lighting - Countertop and backsplash - Refrigerator - can show. - Pantry - Flooring - Windows (or lack thereof) - Pantry - Ceiling - Integrated drawer coolness (knives, etc.) - Beverage station
Decent layout. Bit-level island with sink; cooktop behind, fridge to the side. Like the built-ins to the right, i.e. with the dramatic, lighted display space above.
Cabinet hardware
'Little Shelf' idea is continued on top of wall to wall shelving unit.
Flipped from my current design, so outside door is closest the kitchen
Handy
I am in love with under-cabinet lighting. It's a must-have.
Backsplash
Appliance closet
Inside of hidden pantry
Pantry with ledge for toaster
