Trying to access loft in 10 year old house - painters painted over hatch, but can't open. Any thoughts? Looks like a button or latch pointing towards edge of frame, but not budging with pressure.
Can you post a photo? Could it be that you turn the ‘switch’ rather that press it?
Mine opens with a pole.
