Can you paint a fireplace insert??

Hi All,
The previous owner fitted an electric fireplace, which is silver. They also added some beige back panelling and an oak mantle.
I will paint the mantle and back panelling, but is it possible to paint the actual electric fireplace until black? And if so, what paint do you use for the job?

    Yes you can. Get a heat resistant paint in a paint shop
