After multiple versions, I think I’ve finally come up with a plan that allows for all our needs. The zone at the end would be for 2 desks - kind of an office setup without officially having an office. Ideally we would have preferred to put the bifolds at the back, but I think all things considered this is the best solution. Please pull it apart for me!!
I’m not sure having an office in the busiest room in the house would work or not for most people anyway? It’s also a shame not to have access to presumably the patio area and garden? What’s the room at the top right? is there also another room?
i think details of number of people living in house, floor plan, wish list etc would help
You could also try a concept planner like OnePlan on here. Very reasonable fees especially when you compare against the costs involved with what you’re planning
I also think a quieter room would be better especially if it is for a family. Will you be happy just having a view of your garden rather than instant access. If it must be there then think of screening it off in some way. Internal glass doors and screens look good. Is the office for working only or do you have client visits? Consider having your dining table turned 90 deg where your office is with the bifolds and moving your office to the long wall where the dining table currently is shown.
Thanks for the insights, I think you are all correct about the office. Husband has agreed to work elsewhere so I’ve worked out a redesign based on the feedback.
For those asking, the closed door next to the kitchen cabinet run will be a little toilet. The open archway next to it is the hallway, and the larger archway on the right leads to the playroom.
Thanks again!
