Non-electrical lights

Hi all
I have just finished panelling and painting my bedroom and afterwards decided I want to add wall sconce lights. Naturally I don't want to have to get an electrician in to wire these up and don't want to have wires running down the wall.
So I'm looking at using battery operated wall sconces. Problem is, I can't find ones I actually like. The sconces I have identified are electrical/mains powered (see image). Question is - can I use these sconces and use a battery operated lightbulb, and if so, a decent looking filament bulb as the only battery operated/rechargeable bulbs I can find are pretty ugly.
Has anybody else had his problem, or got any suggestions?

There are lots online but do you hate them all? Here’s some you may or may not like.

Personally I’d go with plug in lights, i can’t find any good pics, must be the words I’m using for the search, but there are loads of modern panelled bedrooms around with plug in lights.

There doesn’t seem to be much available in the UK for battery operated. I could do with some myself but can’t decide whether I like these or not!

The red carpet and drapery are bringing darkness to your entry. The horizontal curtain rod cuts the space as well. Do you know if you have hardwood beneath the carpet? Is there electrical under the staircase where you could do a console table, to scale w/ the staircase and place a lamp or two upon it and hang another mirror (to scale) to reflect more light. Would love to see an exterior picture of the entry. Is the door window combination original to the home? Is it in the budget to change this as well? If not, removing the curtains and placing a large potted plant would help to brighten up the space.

Hi I'm looking to get an angled arm or swing arm wall light for my kitchen, but I'm worried about steam etc. causing problems if I get a non-specific kitchen light. Dunelm has a small selection of reasonably priced plug in wall lamps which might be worth a look.
