Hi, bought a new house around 3 years ago, and i went in the loft today as we have a leak in our roof, i noticed that some holes are there and it almost looks

    You shouldn't be able to see daylight through your gable end wall

    A lot of gaps there. Think you may need a good roofer.

    I’m guessing that this is not a gable end, but the wall between you and your neighbour’s lofts in a Victorian or Edwardian terrace. And the light through the gaps is because the roofs have skylights or velux windows? If so, the brickwork - and the gaps - are very typical. Agree with Jonathan about sorting out the insulation!
