Where can I find good looking bedroom furniture?

I appreciate what's good looking is extremely subjective, but having a look around on numerous sites: Next, Argos, Oak Furniture Land and a few others, I find them all to be quite ugly. I currently have a mirrored set from Next which looks good because it has rose gold trim, handles and legs. Everything now however is just all glass and looks very Essex-ey.
Any suggestions where to look? I'm looking for something moden or contemporary. Just has to be practical

The ones you suggest are pretty budget friendly, so perfectly okay but not always quality, but horses for courses. Not everyone has the budget for high end furniture. Have you tried John Lewis and Wayfair? Excellent customer service. Not sure where you are based but Hatters in Bedford have some lovely quality furniture. Not cheap though. Furniture Village do some good quality furniture, both traditional and contemporary. There are many other outlets but I’m a stickler for good customer service.

Given the wooden window frames, consider roman shades or woven wood roll up shades. I would not add too much white since three of your walls, your baseboard and your crowne molding are already white, not to mention your bedframe (great bed by the way). Having said that, white night stands would be good, but suggest something other than white lamps, although white lamp shades would work. You mentioned Ikea. They have some great fabrics, bedcovers and lamps/lampshades. Ikea also has various window treatments, including roman type shades. They also sell a sliding panel system that is awesome if you see a color that works. It comes in various colors and would really add some life to the room. The panels slide on a rail system, allowing you to close and open them as desired. Agree it would be nice to pull the colors together with fabric that has both the green and the blue, either with the bedcover, pillows or window coverings. Also like the suggestion to try several small items over the bed (doesn't have to be pictures). The example picture shows three pictures of the same size. Two smaller items with one large in the middle also works well and might be a better fit with your square shaped bedframe. FYI, the lamps in the photo with the three pictures over the bed are really a bit small for that room. Notice in the picture of your bed, the lamps are much taller. Either tall lamps or lamps with a fairly large scale would be a good match to your bedframe. I would hold off on the ceiling light fixture until you have the bed in the room and have chosen your lamps, window treatments and other furniture. With all of these elements in the room, you will have an easier time chosing a ceiling fixture that matches the scale of the room and matches the style of your other furnishings. I would also definitely go white if the windows are on the green wall. Will be much more natural to tie the accent wall with the stark wht contrasting walls. Always a very chic contemporary look. Also very relaxing as opposed to the treatments standing out when you already have your standout feature- the green accent wall. Great white bed you ordered! Then I love all the blue/green/ silver accent advice. I did a similar room in purples/greys/ whites and we used great posted prints of florals with a little oriental flair in nice big mats w frames. You could do florals or nice big botanicals in greens would be very fresh and modern!! White or silver frames or maybe even the shock of black would be cool.

I definitely think some colour on the walls would look great with your monochrome curtains and furniture. I would suggest a relatively soft colour, maybe a duck egg or greyish green colour, nothing too vibrant that will battle with the bold monochrome! Adding width BEHIND THE BED - with a headboard (which doesn't have to be a "headboard"; it could be fabric, collection of mirrors, collection of pictures, a farm gate!, small chairs or stools) across the entire width. Matching bedside tables/bookcases/chests/ with LAMPS - useful storage for extra books, extra bedding, etc. CURTAINS always warm up a room. People will always feel colder away from home - provide an extra blanket or duvet to add to the bed. I notice there is no WARDROBE. Not really necessary for overnight guests (provide hooks on the back of the door) but useful for storing your out-of-season coats, etc. There is plenty of room behind the door. Buy one on eBay and paint it to suit your colour scheme.
