What keeps door closed?

Hello. I have a similar door, but have no way of keeping it closed when it's not locked. Any advice you can share?

I can't zoom in on your photo to get a closer look. Maybe you could take some close up shots. Alternatively you can add a contemporary pelmet box above and the blinds can be mounted into this. I would recommend having them custom made by a professional company with a quality installer. Roman blinds on a chain side winder mounted above the doors would also work well. We just bought a bungalow and are doing some redecorating before we move in. It is an old house with a narrow hallway and small rooms so we want to keep it as light and airy feeling as possible. We are putting in new doors, architrave, skirting, etc. and painting these white. However all of the windows (which we aren't changing as they are quite new) are a dark wood - almost a walnut colour. My question is what colour should I varnish the door saddles? I would prefer to varnish rather than paint these, but don't want to go too dark. How many wood colours is ok in a house, e.g. should we varnish the saddles to an oak colour and stick with this for the furniture? Any advice appreciated!

Behind the far left glass panel is a cloakroom and behind the right glass panel I have a piano. (All in my hall ) I am thinking of knocking the cloakroom on the inside and putting a desk and hidden shelving and leaving piano on the right. And knocking a kitchen wall which now means you would see into my kitchen from my front door. I may partition the hall now with a pocket door for privacy. I can give more details if required ... My big dilemma is what style of front door would be great ! I don’t want the door and three panel look again.

I am in the process of re decorating not sure what to do here. Dilemma 1: want to brighten up north facing hallway want to go with neutral tones. I was thinking of repainting doors white but painter thinks I am mad ! Any suggestions for woodwork and walls? Maybe keep doors oak and stairwell white/ all white woodwork ??
