Extraction for south east asian cooking - Advice needed

Hi all,
We have a kitchen-living space which is approx 8000 x 5000. I am planning on having a 900mm hybrid gas & induction hob on the island.
Any advice on best extraction hood for south east asian cooking which will remove smells effectively AND not be an eye sore.
I would love to have the Bora but nervous about the efficiency of it with pungent cooking.
