Just had my bathroom tiled with herringbone style and wanted to get an opinion on the job. My main concerns are that the herringbone design doesn't wrap around corners and grout & alignment seem to be off on certain parts (pictures attached). Is this standard and expected for herringbone or is it a bad job and if so can it be fixed?
Any type of diagonal/ herringbone/ hexagonal/ not square tiling is very specialist and has challenges the inexperienced tiler doesn’t predict as demonstrated by this tiler.
He might do a nice job with standard tiles but this finish shows he was out of his depth and shouldn’t have started because some of this will need removing and starting again.
That is a very poor finish and go to ao many homes where so called tilers have been in and taken peoples money but have not produced what they said they can its a shame herringbone is veey tricky but at the same time pretty easy if you have the corrcet tools oviously they didnt hope you get it sorted and dosent cost you to much buy cheap pay twice as the saying goes it can be rectified of corse but make sure you have seen there work and what they are capable of first
