Need help for kitchen/living/dining area
Comments (8)Oh wow! Thanks everyone... So so much... I would never have seen some of the things that you have pinpointed. I have already got the cabinet and under cabinet lighting, it was turned off when I took the earlier shots. I totally get the suggestion to remove the cabinets etc near the window but would prefer not too just yet... I am back pocketing that for next year! I will add some items on top of the cabinets, and the artwork that you suggested too in the meantime. The window seat I had in mind was for the living room area, instead of the two seater. Would that look better than the two piece, with colourful cushions, and if so should I add a built I cabinet for the tv (right beside it) in the same painted wood colour as the window seat? Also should I put curtains either side of the window seat if I opt to go with that, or stick just with colourful roman blinds? I will look into fixtures for lights and have already started the fabric hunt for curtains/roman blinds/ cushions etc. Also, what colour would you recommend to accessorise the room with?...See MoreKitchen/Dining/Living Floor Plan please
Comments (0)I want to design a whole section of my house. It involves knocking walls etc. but when finished I will be left with a space 20 ft wide x 16.5 ft long leading off a living room & separate corridor to a garden. Room height will be 8ft. Currently there is a window & sliding patio door, but ideally I would like to replace with an entrance (nothing fancy) & glass wall or bi-fold doors. Very rough sketch of the space attached....See MoreColours for a northwest facing kitchen/ dining/ family space
Comments (5)I would use the same flooring throughout, give your separation of spaces visually with decor and I love Vancouver Day from C2 paint I have it all through my house in different strengths, very neutral so almost anything goes with it....See MoreKitchen/Dining/living area
Comments (0)Hi All, I've recently purchased a new home and am trying to work out best way to maximise space in the kitchen/dining/living area. The image shows room size/shape. Kitchen layout in left section is flexible. More than likely L shaped along outside wall and across window. Would like the larger area to the right to become a dining / living space if possible, as the room is quiet bright. What style layout would suit this? Is it too much for this space? Only two of us in the house but want it suitable for entertaining family and friends. All thoughts and suggestions welcome. Many thanks M...See MoreWumi
