Best hard-scaping surface for full-shaded yard

we've an area outside our patio doors that is in complete shade. it is paved with concrete slabs, since we moved in we've tried to keep the moss/slime off it, but no joy. so we want to change the surface. anyone any experience- is resin bound gravel good in shade? maybe artificial lawn? we want something non-slip and moss resistant, that will lead to the lawn. any suggestions gratefully received, thanks all
