External works after External Wall Insulation

Has anyone made structural or layout changes or added an extension on a house that already had external wall insulation (EWI)? Did you have to drill through the EWI for new pipes, cables or new windows? How does it work?
Plumbers and Window professionals on here - have you/would you made changes on a house that is wrapped with EWI? Like move a soil pipe in order to relocate an upstairs toilet or installed new windows after EWI?

Hi @aiexandrina, thanks for your reply. The pebble dash in the photo is actually falling off the back of the house, so we needed a full redoing. The acrylic render finish is guaranteed for 20 years, so won't need to be painted until then. We were considering grey and perhaps sandstone colours in keeping with the traditional look.
