We wanted to know the best option for cleaning yellow bricks exterior walls. We would love to clean the bricks of our house but not sure how best to do it. Anyone used a company to clean it for them? We sew worried about damaging the bricks as it’s an old house.
a water based clean with a nebulous cold water spray. this is a less aggressive method of cleaning.
a chemical acid cleaner with a warm water wash, which will remove dirt etc. it is important to have a test area done to ensure the brick is not attacked in the process.
There are specialist companies that will come in and do the work or you can get a competent.
looking at your picture it looks like a london stock brick, which should cleanup quite well!!

the spraying requires specialist equipment which will need to be hired.
one small point , you have some red rubber bricks that form a band to the stocks. they are soft and you have signs of spalling on a couple , which will require replacement with new bricks. some brickies like to turn the. around, so that the hidden face becomes the front and the spelled brick face goes into the wall. this is not the best solution , so insist on replacing the brick.
