You could get a carpenter in to replace the doors. Defo get rid of the dressing table.

Maybe see if you can sell them ? Look long and hard at the amount of wardrobe storage you need if this amount is bang on, then maybe consider new doors ? Personally I’d take the bed out add shoe and bad shelves there and make this a dressing room ! But I guess that depends on how many more bedrooms you have ?

To me it looks completely dominated by the wardrobes. Do you really need that many in there. I think the bed is too large in that space with that headboard I'm afraid.

We have just taken out a load of fitted wardrobes, moved them, reused the carcasses and put new doors, handles and lighting on them. Its definitely worth doing if you're up for a bit of work.

The non fitted wardrobes just look wrong. They look like they're overlapping the window? Why do you need those too?

I'd remove the free standing wardrobes and the dressing table. Then I'd move the wardobes either side of the bed to where the dressing table is now to give a longer stretch on that wall. Ditch the over bed cupboard and knock out that false wall on the top.

Re: Bed, yes this was just our old bed that we have brought over and keen not to buy anything until the work starts. My biggest struggle is, yes I know it looks heavy with all the wardrobes but the storage space is much needed so it’s trying to keep the storage without overwhelming the space. I will try and get hold of a carpenter and get some advice/ideas. Thank you again.

Mine are here. Not quite finished in this photo and I can't get to the area at the moment to take another photo since bathroom fitters are doing the en suite. We used ikea kitchen doors. It still wasn't cheap once you add up doors, handles, filler panels etc (we reused hinges from our old wardrobes) but it was an awful lot more cost effective than getting a wardrobe company in.

I bought a couple of second hand ikea pax wardrobes, and a couple of sliding door sets, (all from different sellers), added a few new bits and am about halfway through fitting them. I'm lucky my room is exactly 4m wide, but they also do 50cm and 75cm wide units, so you may find you can get a fitted look with Pax.
