Help with a tiling query please!
The bathroom fitter is starting the wall tiles in our ensuite tomorrow, but I could.do with some advice please! The window is halfway into the shower - it is a 1700 shower tray with 1000 screen. I am having white large hex tiles - half height on the opposite wall behind the sink and toilet and obviously full height in the shower. Where should I tile on this wall? It will look unbalanced tiling one half of the window recess - what are my options please? The tiles behind the sink will have an uncut edge, so like a zigzag. I had thought to do this along the edge of the shower tiling too, but what do I do round the window...

4 years agoHiya - is there anyway you can show us the tiling and what the zig zag edge would look like? Normally the hexagon tile edge is cut straight to the edge like the image below.
But I see your point in that you want it to have the same feature as the above the sink. If you mean something like this but on the same line, I don't see why not. It is a new trend and if you like that zig zag look I would go for it!

4 years agoI think a straight edge would look smarter in a shower area. Would be easier when fitting the shower screen too. I’m not keen on the wavy edges, just looks unfinished to me!
