Ideas for Living Room
Comments (1)You said you bought a new cream Queen Anne chair , so is that in addition to the striped one as well? IF yes, then you may be tied into a purple/brown/gold theme. The black furniture will work in the room. IF you are replacing the striped chair with the off white Queen Anne , then you could do purple/ gray/ black colors. Here are some inspiration ( color wise) photos: Purple with brown Purple with gray/black. I think an area rug will tie all your colors together , so find a large one that works in the color scheme you choose....See MoreFireplace to match
Comments (3)Seeing your love of geometrics and clean lines, would you consider adding some interest and texture with a geometric pattern tile, topped with a beech (is that the material in your alcove units?) mantle shelf? Very modern, but also very custom and interesting. At the moment, the space is quite sparse (but gorgeous!) and this might help warm things up a bit? There are also some amazing turkish tiles around now (2nd pic) that would add even more colour, but that might be a bit much for you? I would love it though!...See MoreHate my fireplace , have no ideas on redecorating around it.

Comments (0)Hi there, We've recently refloored and painted our living room. I think it's very bland and want to introduce more colour, perhaps a deep teal on the fireplace wall or something. Im struggling with choosing units for the alcove. I hate the TV stand and was thinking of something built in, put the TV higher and mounted on the wall but I cant put one on the other side or I'll have nowhere for my Christmas tree or baby's chair, will it look odd with something on one side only? Any suggestions for wall hangings and rug or no rug! Thanks in advance!...See MoreSonia
