I love your mudroom, but if you want change you could paint the inside of the top cubbies for a pop of color. Maybe sometime to coordinate with the new rug you are contemplating. And/or some different color baskets.

How about some chocolate brown baskets and painting the walls the color of The "p"? I'm thinking bm Palladian blue. Your cubbies are adorable!

I think by simply changing out your accessories with pops of color will make a big difference in the warmth of the area.

Love it, it's sooooo cheerful. Nice to see someone who isn't afraid of color. You did a wonderful job.
If you do paint the ceiling, don't go as dark as the blues in paper. Choose a pale blue in the same family as those blues. Try to find the match on a color swatch, then pick the lightest two shades on top of that swatch. I love blue ceilings. :)
